Dear Friends,
At this time of year when most of us look forward to the Christmas Holidays with our loved ones, Milos worries if he'll be able to provide food and shelter for his family.
Milos Djuric has two young children, son Branislav, who suffers from cerebral palsy and needs urgent surgery on both hips, and daughter Slavica, who is in the seventh grade and lacks the most basic necessities due to her family's extreme poverty. His wife was recently diagnosed with dystrophy, leaving her unable to work. Milos tries to make up for this by working long hours doing construction and then hurries home every day to help his wife care for their disabled son. Sadly, this family has fought through even greater tragedy, their firstborn child died seven days after birth and their youngest child passed away at 11 months.
The family has been on TV and in the newspapers and due to so many sad cases in the media, they tell us no one has reached out to them to help. Clearly, their heart-breaking situation is one of the worst we have encountered. They only asked for the basics: food, warm clothes, wood for the winter. Please donate if you can or forward to someone who might be able to.♦
